Kunst & Kopij

Think Different. I Want My MTV. Just Do It. Got Milk? Coming soon to a theatre near you!

  1. Lijkt me een onthullend verhaal. De film ging januari jl. in premiere op het Sundance filmfestival in Utah.

Maar wanneer de film hier te zien is???

  2. I’ve got a challenge for you guys! What happened to the Alchemists?

That was the movies original title. It seemed exciting and confronting. The current trailer is soft and seems to idealize the advertising world. Hmm what changed the angle? If you could get your hands on the first trailer… you’d find it’s completely different. But it’s the same documentary!

  3. Got it!!!

  5. @Pete: Goed gevonden! Or should I say: Good catch? You seem to be nog al mutlilangual ;-)

Ik denk dat de maker zijn titel nog eens met een reclamekritische blik bekeken heeft; Art&Copy bekt veel beter.

  6. A reply from Executive Producer Kirk Souder to help ease our minds and definitely go watch the movie!

Hey Kirk i’ve got a question for ya,

What happened to the Alchemists! I have been waiting / anticipating for the movie ever since the first trailer back in good old 2.0.0.6. (I’m a patient kinda guy). I knew here in Holland it would take even longer for the movie to reach our cinemas, but it seemed worth the wait. Now. Almost three years later I see a new trailer ‘art&copy’ it seems like a soft evening-on-the-couch-with-a-bag-o’-chips-and-a-bud type of flick. Not even close to the don’t-fall-of-the-edge-of-your-seat-headturner the Alchemist promised to be. I haven’t seen the film yet, so maybe I’m jumping to conclusion a bit too fast. But did the better part of the movie end up on the cutting room floor? Was it too shocking for the advertising world?

I hope you still have a copy of the original trailer. I’d really love to see it again. And I hope to see that movie in the cinemas somewhere this, or maybe even next year. But will I?

    Thanks for your time,

    With kind regards,

    Pete

    Hi Pete,

Yes, name changed from “The Alchemists” to “Art & Copy”, and no -it’s not what you fear- turned out even bigger and more powerful than I imagined. Go see it!
